Meet Asaeli.
Asaeli Marika Batibasaga, Bat to viewers, won the Fiji Open back to back as an amateur before playing professionally on the PGA Tour of Australasia. Sport runs deep in the family. His father Isimeli played halfback for Fiji's national rugby team in the 1970s.
He has known Jason Day since junior golf in Australia and was on Day's bag for the 2018 Farmers Insurance Open win at Torrey Pines. When Day launched The Lads in 2025, Bat was a founding member, and he has grown into the channel's resident hype man. He is also open about living with bipolar disorder and speaks to high school students about mental health.
At Rams Hill, Bat joins Team Brad as the stop's wildcard for the back nine.
